An interesting article from the BBC that recounts all the times the Capitol was stormed before - including the Brits setting it on fire in 1814. I had no idea that the Brits attempted to re-invade the place.

I was only hearing about this the other day after the Trump riots.

A strange occurrence, apparently the Brits really didnt have any long term plans and were probably more shocked they managed to get so deep into the US Capitol.
